2024 Toilet Bowl Races

Presented by: American Legion Post 312

Where: Main Street, Maple Park in front of the American Legion

When: Saturday August 31st 4:00pm – 5:00pm

The Event:

  • Two teams race against each-other, and the clock, around pylons up and down Main Street
  • The races will be run in elimination heats
  • Each team will have two opportunities to run the course
  • Entry Fee: $15 per team (early-bird registration by August 24th $10 per team)
  • Cash prizes for:
    • 1st, 2nd, & 3rd fastest finishers
    • The most creative racing commode along with the most creative costumes

The Rules:

  • Teams consist of three team members
  • Two team members will be pushing and one team member will be “driving” on the commode
  • At the half waypoint, teams MUST switch drivers
  • There will be no motorized racers allowed of any type
  • Drivers under the age of 18 are required to wear the following protective gear:
    • Helmet, gloves, kneepads, elbow pads, and close-toed shoes
  • Children and families will be present; please no profanity on the toilet racers, costumes or team uniforms
  • Please use care and courtesy during the race
  • The American Legion reserves the right to disqualify any racer determined to be unsafe or dangerous
